I offer mini sessions a few times a year. I will usually do a day of minis around Mother's Day, and a day or two in early November before the holidays.
As of right now, I do not shoot traditional weddings. Wedding days are usually very long days, and I have little kids at home so I prefer not to be away for an entire day, especially on the weekends. I am however available to shoot the occasional elopement depending on the day/circumstances. If you are eloping, please reach out!
Neutrals/earth tones and textures are your best friends!! If you need wardrobe guidance or sample outfits, please let me know! I have a few key notes for clients when picking outfits. Firstly, I would avoid white clothing as it can look blue in natural light and makes editing very difficult. Choosing an off white or cream can make such a difference. I would also recommend avoiding red, bright pinks, and oranges as they can cast a color reflection on the people next to you. When planning outfits for a group of people, choose no more than two patterns. Lastly as a personal preference, I would avoid matching outfits and choose similar ones that compliment each other instead.
I never give an exact number for my galleries, but I don't limit the amount of photos I deliver. At a minimum I try to send at least 50 photos. If it looks good, I send it. There are many factors that go into creating a beautiful gallery. The lighting, subjects, and focus of the image are three of the main things I look at when deciding which photos to include in your gallery. I want you to look your best, and I also want to make sure I am delivering photos that meet my standards. For that reason, I do not, and will never deliver raw/unedited photos. Thank you for your understanding!
Since I am a natural light photographer, I choose to do my sessions during golden hour, which is the hour leading up to sunset. Expect to have a late afternoon/early evening session depending on the time of year. That being said, I have done the occasional studio session (still using natural light) so if that's something you're interested in, please let me know. For studio sessions and newborn sessions done inside, timing is more flexible. If you have questions outside of what you have seen here, please reach out. I look forward to hearing from you!
If you would like to move forward with booking a session with me, please fill out the form on my contact page or email me directly! Once we nail down a date, expect to pay a deposit to hold your session time and date. Please give yourself plenty of time to find outfits and choose your perfect location. (I can help with both of these things if needed.
and I cannot recommend her enough! Erica's approach with the kids was wonderful. She directed them effortlessly keeping them engaged and well-behaved throughout the session. Working with her was so enjoyable and easy. The photos turned out beautifully. Every shot reflects her talent and eye for detail. Thank you, Erica, for your amazing work!
